Organism
Make a selection from the list of organisms. If you wish to query from all available organisms simply select Any Organism. Please see the Genome Release Data table for details on the genomic data used by the Genomics Resource web interface.
Display
Checking the Statistics option displays a table of basic statistics computed for the subset of items under display. It summarizes the number of items of each type, and the number of items in each gene relationship category.
Relationship to
Make a selection to display miRNA relationships to Known Genes, Refseq Genes, Genscan Genes, or All UCSC Tracks. Known Genes, Refseq Genes, and Genscan Genes are the full collection of genes from these categories as provided by UCSC. All UCSC Tracks includes all available UCSC genome data tracks for items whose location relative to miRNAs may be of interest, for example Known Genes, Refseq Genes, Genscan Genes, CpG islands, pseudogenes, etc.
microRNA Location
Select a subset of miRNAs based on a specific relationship to a gene- for example, those miRNAs which are located on the same strand inside the intron of a gene. Please note the meaning of the Strand menu in the case where Intergenic miRNAs have been selected from the microRNA Location menu: selecting Same Strand displays all miRNAs which are intergenic with respect to genes on the same strand, while selecting either Opposite Strand or Both Strands displays miRNAs which do not overlap any gene either on the same strand or the opposite strand.
Strand relationship to
Select a subset of miRNAs based on a specific strand relationship to a gene, either Same Strand or Opposite Strand. Selecting Either Strand is primarily useful for displaying all miRNAs when Any Location is selected from the miRNA Location menu.
